I have always had a passion for helping others. I have been involved in animal welfare for over 10 years as a volunteer and an advocate. I absolutely love being able to work directly with pets and families in the Greater Kansas City area, and to have the opportunity to truly make a difference in ending pet homelessness and supporting those in need. It is an incredible feeling to be a part of an organization that is truly committed to creating positive outcomes for the people, animals, and families in our community. I am so incredibly thankful for the team at Spay and Neuter Kansas City and all that they do for each other and for the greater good of those in need. We truly are a group of compassionate and dedicated individuals.
I am the proud mom of three fur-babies. I have two rescue pit bulls: Eddie Munster and Lily Munster, and my first love, my cat Elliot. My pets have shown me the beauty of the animal-human-bond and what an impact pets can make on one’s life. I am incredibly grateful for our experiences together. I also have a great partner in life, Nicholas, who tolerates my overzealous love for all animals.
I graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art. In addition to my love for animals, I enjoy knitting, sewing, crafty D.I.Y projects, horror films, going to the gym, and listening to music (I am a huge fan of reggae, ska, soul, and rocksteady). I focus on compassionate-living and love experimenting with vegan cooking.
