In one way or another I have been involved in marketing and advertising for more than two decades in Kansas City. Without a doubt the most rewarding organizations I have worked with are involved in doing something that has a positive impact on the pets in our lives and the bond we share with them.
I know we’re all better when we have friend with four legs … and the more the better. In fact, when I worked with Purina, I saw plenty of data proving that people who shared their lives with dogs and cats were happier and healthier than those who didn’t.
So that makes it official. I’ve ended up at a place that is doing remarkable things to help curb pet homelessness but also help families take care of their dogs and cats and stay together. It’s both a humble and exciting place to be.
When I’m not throwing objects of varying kinds for retrieval by my three dogs, Mitali (T-bone for short), Oggie Doggie, and Harper (AKA Monkey), or refereeing aggressive wrestling matches between the three, I’m being pursued by a pushy cat, P-Kitty, who seems to have an insatiable need to be tended to. I’m regularly obsessed with spending time with my best friend and wife, Diane, riding bikes, racing bikes, working on bikes or talking about bikes.
