I was born and raised in the Kansas City area. Because both of my parents are animal people, I grew up with an assortment of pets, including dogs, birds, fish, horses, and more. I received my bachelor of science in Animal Science from the University of Missouri in 2001, and my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri in 2005. After school, I moved back to the Kansas City area to be near my family. I previously worked in practices in Lee’s Summit and Pleasant Hill, and for the two and a half years before joining SNKC, provided at-home hospice care for animals and their families.
My husband and I live on a farm with four dogs, a cat, a mule, a donkey, eleven horses, and a small herd of Scottish Highland cattle. When not at work, I enjoy drawing, making glass art, playing guitar, and rescuing horses.
